Rodan's Pricess xx is called Electra at out farm. She is a very handsome chestnut Thoroughbred mare with a correct and light foundation and very good gaits that make her an interesting candidate for breeding warmbloods. She has proven herself with a number of foals that have grown up to compete successfully. Her truly outstanding daughter Napa Red will one day replace her great mother. Electra has clearly shown us many times what it is worth to have a good TB mare as foundation in a breeding program.

Both parents of Electra were Stakes Winners in the US and raced for several seasons and left the track in sound conditions. Wing Out xx was a descendant of the famous Bold Ruler xx dynasty that not only has a great name in racing, but also in sport horse breeding. The dam of Wing out xx, Toulousette xx, was sired by the Italian import stallion Toulouse Lautrec xx, who brought a lot of that famed European TB breeding of the first part of the 20th century over to North America. The dam side of our Electra is mostly made up of home-grown thouroughbred lines, but with a distintly different "look" in conformation in these horses. Especially Restless Wind xx exhibited many if not all of the conformational traits we seek in good TB mares for our breeding program (see photos below). Electra has proven herself through her offspring many times, and we can only conclude that her early acquisition was truly a cornerstone for our operation.

At Sunsprite, Electra has produced Woodstock Magic (1997 Hanoverian by Welt Klasse), L'Avenir (*2000 KWPN by Univers), Napa Red (*2001 Selle Francais by Baloubet du Rouet) and Romany (*2006 Hanoverian by Rafaello).
